Best American Restaurant in Tuscumbia

The hubby and I stopped by Mary Lee's for an early dinner while exploring Tuscumbia, a city we'd never been to before. We started off with fried mushrooms, followed by the chicken tenders platter for the hubs and a double bacon cheeseburger with seasoned fries for myself. The fried mushrooms were hand breaded, the seasoning in the breading was chef's kiss perfect. The chicken tenders were fried to perfection, perfectly seasoned and also hand breaded. The burger...I'm not scared to admit i was intimidated by it lol. The meat was hand pattied and seasoned just right, and the veggies tasted like they had just come from a garden out back. We were both completely stuffed before we finished our meals, and even though this place is over an hour away from our home turf, we will most certainly be back!!

The food was top notch. The atmosphere is feeling like you are entering the place youve been in dozens of times, welcoming voices and faces. Staff was patient and kind, made you feel at home. They were incredible. We WILL be coming to Mary Lee's on our next visit! Thank you Mary Lee for the experience!

This is our second trip here! We drive an hour to eat here. They grind their own beef, and hand patty their own burgers. The burgers are definitely top quality. She makes her own cakes and desserts too! We had banana pudding last time, which was great! Eying the Reese’s peanut butter cake today.

I definitely was not expecting the level of service nor the quality of food I received at this gem of a restaurant. Everything made fresh, including the way they get their meat cut, and I could taste the difference in the burgers versus what I get back at home. It was a unique freshness.. I also was treated to a platter of wings and three different flavors. All of which tasted perfectly cooked and seasoning was phenomenal! I only give reviews on things that are either very outstanding or very poor and this place was of the outstanding level. The hospitality was also there to make my wife and I feel right at home. The waitress did great job recommending dishes and we were conversed with by the owner’s husband at our table. If you’re in the area, I would highly recommend you stop by.
